The Challenge

Polly Waffle was revived by Menz Confectionery in 2024. Menz acquired the rights to produce it in 2019 from Nestlé and received a grant from the Australian Federal Government in 2020; however, Menz faced manufacturing setbacks out of their control. SOCIETY was tasked to announce its return as the reimagined Polly Waffle Bites and encourage Australians nationwide to embrace the treat’s new form.

  • A two-pronged approach; initially revealing the comeback of the Polly Waffle with context to media and consumers behind the new format (bite vs bar).
  • Press office setup, fielding interview requests for Menz CEO, Phil Sims and organising exclusive media opps with The Advertiser and Sunrise.
  • Teasing the product launch with early influencer content.
  • Announcing the on-shelf launch with product photography + videography.
