Driving awareness, building excitement and encouraging game attendance for Game One of the Men’s Ampol State of Origin in Adelaide, the ‘AFL State’.

What we did
- Engaged influencers through an interactive gifting drop + bespoke paid content collaborators who were targeted to encourage interstate visitors, sporting fans, entertainment seekers, and families, to support Game One.
- Used ‘exploding’ footballs to bring visual appeal to media events.
- Worked with NRL and the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) on the official launch event - a press conference - utilising NSW and QLD NRL legends, and local junior and AFL players.
- Developed an always-on media calendar, targeting online, print, and broadcast outlets to generate a consistent stream of stories in the media, including interview opportunities for State of Origin legends.
- Achieved a total of 895 pieces of coverage for Ampol State of Origin 2023 Game One, including online, print, broadcast, social, and paid.
